Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related coursework a plus.
• BA/BS preferred, but experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients on forms and update EMR/PM systems as needed.
• Assist with scheduling referrals, tests and consultations.
• Schedule surgeries by verifying eligibility and coordinating with staff.
• Coordinate surgeon availability with the team and facilities.
• Read notes to determine pre-op testing needs and actions.
• Inform patients about pre/post-op steps and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain an accurate surgery calendar and surgeon book.
• Communicate cancellations to all stakeholders promptly.
