Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Austin, TX is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support and ensure high-quality, efficient patient care in Neurology Texas. You will manage CPT/ICD-10 coding, authorizations, documentation, and scheduling coordination with the care team.

The role emphasizes accurate scheduling, proper documentation, and collaboration with practice staff and facilities to optimize patient flow and ensure necessary resources and anesthesia coverage are arranged.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information from staff.
• Prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or ABN forms.
• Determine OR time and coordinate with Facility for scheduling and anesthesia coverage.
• Ensure scheduling packets are correct and timely.
• Obtain authorizations from Insurance Verification and upload to medical records.
