Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a dedicated Scheduling Coordinator to manage the flow of all procedures and surgeries, including preoperative and postoperative visits and related tests. You will verify insurance benefits and coordinate physician schedules for maximum OR utilization.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and be prepared to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.

Competenze

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Schedules all inpatient and outpatient procedures/surgeries.
• Obtains precertification for procedures/surgeries (except ER admissions).
• Schedules tests, office visits and consults related to procedures pre-and post-operatively.
• Prepares surgical packets and ensures orders are in the patient's medical record.
• Verifies patient benefits and communicates coverage details and deductible information; coordinates financial counseling as needed.
• Ensures appropriate utilization of the physician's OR block time.
• Communicates with patients about procedures and schedule changes or insurance conflicts.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the Practice Administrator.
