Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to manage the scheduling of surgical cases across pediatric to older adult patients in the OR and GI Lab. You will coordinate external vendor services and ensure accurate daily charges and monthly statistics.

The role requires strong clerical and computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and excellent English communication. OR experience is preferred and a current BLS certification is required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Routinely books surgical cases for pediatric, adolescent, adult and older adult patients for the OR and GI Lab.
• Coordinates and confirms acquisition of services, equipment, instrumentation and supplies from outside vendors.
• Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on-call list to departments or personnel.
• Checks, enters and reconciles daily patient charges.
• Prepares and distributes monthly surgical statistics.
