Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum 18 months experience in a clinical setting.
• Previous one-on-one experience with surgeons required.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with providers, patients, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Manage complex provider schedules including OR, ASC schedules and clinic schedules.
• Accuracy in scheduling is paramount in performance.
• Schedule complex surgical procedures (e.g., joint replacement, cardio-thoracic, robotic, minimally invasive, gynecologic oncology and breast oncology).
• Ensure prior authorizations/certifications/referrals are in place prior to procedures.
• Coordinate preoperative studies and clearances for upcoming surgeries and procedures.
• Coordinate with OR/ASC staff based on surgeon instruction.
• Communicate effectively; demonstrate problem solving, prioritization and organization.
