Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Surgery Scheduler to orchestrate complex operating room scheduling. You will align resources, personnel, and services, manage data entry and template maintenance, and produce comprehensive schedules for multiple sites.

The role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with scheduling systems to ensure operational precision and excellent service to patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience in hospital/outpatient scheduling.
• Experience with hospital or outpatient scheduling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries for Main OR, Outpatient Surgery Center, and Off Site Anesthesia cases.
• Maintains knowledge of case durations and surgeon schedules to avoid conflicts.
• Verifies demographics in Hospital Information System and prints schedules and reports.
• Enters anesthesia and nursing assignments in the scheduling program and coordinates with team leaders and vendors.
