Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for Interventional Radiology to manage the daily surgery calendar and related processes. The role requires coordinating with physicians, departments, and staff to ensure efficient OR utilization and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, utilizing the EMR system for data reporting, and supporting QA and patient safety initiatives. A high school diploma and 1 year of scheduling experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in surgery scheduling.
• Proficient in using scheduling and EMR systems.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of all surgeries to optimize OR use.
• Maintain a 7-day paper schedule as backup and notify parties of changes.
• Print and distribute schedules daily; liaise with physicians and staff.
• Compile data and reports from the EMR system.
• Support quality assurance and patient safety through documentation.
