Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of all surgeries to optimize OR use.
• Maintain a 7-day paper surgery schedule to safeguard against computer downtime.
• Notify parties when changes occur; print and distribute schedules daily.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure documentation and priorities are clear.
• Use EMR to compile data and generate QA reports on department efficiency.
• Attach physician orders to patient records and verify patient care.
• Communicate professionally with physicians and staff to ensure documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary departments for teamwork.
• Report potential patient safety issues per regulations.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns and maintain Code of Conduct.
