Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical, cardiovascular, or obstetrical procedures using a computerized system.
• Enter patient charges, orders and other pertinent information; compile reports for management.
• Act as receptionist and liaison among staff, physicians and families.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of data.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth workflow.
