Job summary

Banner Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate and schedule surgical, cardiovascular, or obstetrical procedures. The role involves entering patient charges and orders, generating reports, and ensuring smooth workflow in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has prior scheduling or medical experience and excellent organizational and communication skills. Located in Mesa, AZ, with clinic hours 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, providing essential patient care coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Approximately 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of payor contract terms and processes; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and computerized scheduling systems; ability to maintain statistical records and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case times for elective and urgent surgeries in a computerized scheduling system.
• Enter patient charges, orders, and pertinent information; compile and report statistics to management.
• Act as liaison among staff, physicians and patients and schedule block times as needed.
• Enter orders for labs, imaging, and other services; verify results and maintain logs of privileges.
• Perform charge management audits; identify and correct missed or incorrect charges.
