Job summary

Lebanon Center for Outpatient Surgery, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to support scheduling of surgical procedures and maintain the daily schedule.

You will obtain CPT/ICD-10 codes, prepare Medicare-related documentation, coordinate with Medical Records and OR staff, and help ensure efficient operating room utilization. A minimum of one year in a medical office setting is required, and scheduling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate has at least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
• A minimum of one year in medical scheduling is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will obtain CPT and ICD-10 diagnoses codes and clinical information as required by physician offices.
• You will prepare documentation for Nons-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices to patients.
• You will process chart requests from Medical Records and coordinate with Materials Manager/Nurse Manager for needed equipment.
• You will determine surgery durations and work with OR nurses to streamline daily schedules.
• You will maintain the center block schedule and arrange anesthesia coverage.
• You will notify physician offices of open times for additional cases.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Scheduler for our surgery center, you will be responsible for proving and contributing to the company’s mission, vision, and values by scheduling patient’s surgical procedures and maintaining the surgery schedule.

What you will do in this role:

• You will obtain CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis codes and other clinical information as required by the physician’s office
• You will prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices to patients and notify physician’s offices about these procedures
• You will complete chart requests from Medical Records and notify the Materials Manager /Nurse Manager of any physician requests or special equipment needed for upcoming surgeries/procedures
• You will determine the duration needed for surgeries in the operating room and work with OR nurse to ensure a daily schedule is streamlined
• You will maintain the center block schedule list and arrange necessary anesthesia coverage
• You will call/fax physician’s offices to notify them of any open schedule times that may allow for additional cases to be taken at the center

What Qualifications will you need:

• Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting.
• 1 year of Medical Scheduling highly preferred

Lebanon Center for Outpatient Surgery is located in Lebanon, Tennessee. We are easy to reach from I-40 and the Nashville International Airport. Our facility is new and includes two operating rooms and one procedure room. We are an ambulatory surgery center, and we expect to grow quickly in the coming months. Our specialties include ENT, General Orthopedics, Total Joint Replacement, Orthopedic Hand, Orthopedic Spine, General Surgery, Podiatry, and Pain Management.
