Job summary

Lebanon Center for Outpatient Surgery is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to manage patient procedures and keep the operating schedule aligned with physician needs. You will collect CPT and ICD-10 codes, prepare Medicare/ABN documentation, and coordinate with Medical Records, Materials, and OR staff to optimize daily operations.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a medical office setting and preferred scheduling experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
• 1 year of Medical Scheduling highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information as required by the physician's office.
• Prepare documentation for Notification of Non-covered Medicare Services or Advance Beneficiary notices to patients and notify physician's offices about these procedures.
• Complete chart requests from Medical Records and notify the Materials Manager/Nurse Manager of any physician requests or special equipment needed for upcoming surgeries/procedures.
• Determine the duration needed for surgeries in the operating room and work with OR nurse to ensure a daily schedule is streamlined.
• Maintain the center block schedule list and arrange necessary anesthesia coverage.
• Call/fax physician's offices to notify them of any open schedule times that may allow for additional cases to be taken at the center

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Scheduler for our surgery center, you will be responsible for proving and contributing to the company's mission, vision, and values by scheduling patient's surgical procedures and maintaining the surgery schedule.

Lebanon Center for Outpatient Surgery is located in Lebanon, Tennessee. We are easy to reach from I-40 and the Nashville International Airport. Our facility is new and includes two operating rooms and one procedure room. We are an ambulatory surgery center, and we expect to grow quickly in the coming months. Our specialties include ENT, General Orthopedics, Total Joint Replacement, Orthopedic Hand, Orthopedic Spine, General Surgery, Podiatry, and Pain Management.
