Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to the care team.
• Provides age-appropriate care and education.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Collaborates to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, plans, and discharge care.
• Implements infection control protocols to prevent infections.
• Operates medical equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators) as needed.
• Maintains safety and adheres to goals and a clean environment.
• Participates in audits and compliance checks.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record.
• Engages in professional development to maintain clinical competency.
• Engages in performance improvement initiatives.
• OR Services RN: scrubs in for surgeries, assists team with instruments and sterile field.
