Baldwin Health in Foley, AL is seeking an Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) for the Orthopedics unit. The part-time night shift offers student loan contribution up to $20k and a benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and 401k match.

As an RN, you will provide patient-centered care, perform assessments, administer medications, support perioperative and post-operative care for orthopedic patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong patient assessment and documentation skills.
• Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Maintain infection control and equipment safety.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain attendance and comply with policies.
• Provide orthopedic-specific pre- and post-operative care.
