Baldwin Health is seeking a Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) for the full-time Day Shift in the Surgery unit. The RN will provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and nurses, and ensure safe, quality outcomes across perioperative care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required
• Active RN state licensure (compact state licensure acceptable)
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred
• Strong patient assessment and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Performs patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Maintains infection control practices and safety standards.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Provides scrub role support for OR procedures and maintains sterile environment.
