Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or high school diploma with healthcare experience.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary contact for patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Coordinates referrals and scheduling for pre- and post-surgical care.
• Submits insurance pre-determinations, pre-certifications and appeals for major surgeries.
• Verifies data from medical records and communicates care plan modifications as needed.
• Participates in conferences and supports safety and risk management initiatives.
• Maintains patient EMR updates and documents communication and progress.
• Schedules appointments and surgeries with hospitals and clinics; manages calendar conflicts.
• May assist in surgical procedures up to 10% of time.
