Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor performance of both union and non-union staff; address sickness, discipline and work quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Execute same-day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work; plan and unplanned work; maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct dispatchers to ensure proper staffing, minimize overtime, and meet leak response and customer appointment metrics.
  • Review construction workload and assign to contractors efficiently and timely.
  • Supervise data entry of completed construction work orders and maintain service cards and documents.
  • Process all State permits and maintain records for them.
  • Participate in safety and process improvement programs and drive results.
  • Provide 24/7/365 field coverage on on-call rotation.

Job Title: Supervisor – Dispatch & ECC

Location: Orange, CT; East Hartford, CT

Work type: Office (on-site)

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $116,640 to $145,800.

Job Summary

Responsible for the daily supervision and organization of assigned operations personnel in order to effectively and efficiently accomplish job tasks in line with departmental and company requirements. Supervises day-to-day gas operations field activities to drive greater efficiencies and performance of all dispatch and field employees.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and monitors the performance of both union and non-union staff including issues related to sickness, discipline and work quality to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Is responsible for the execution of same day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work, planned and unplanned work while ensuring optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Directs dispatchers to ensure proper staffing, minimize overtime, leak response and customer appointment metrics are met.
  • Reviews construction workload and assigns to specified contractors in an efficient timely manner.
  • Supervises the data entry of completed construction work orders as well as maintains the service cards and supporting files and documents.
  • Processes all State permits and maintains the records for same.
  • Participates in various safety and process improvement programs and responsible for results.
  • Provides coverage in the field 24/7/365 on call rotation.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience Required
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration is preferred or a high school diploma and 13 years of gas operations experience.
  • Must be technically proficient as a gas operations dispatcher.
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of gas field operations policies, procedures, protocols and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the various systems that are in use within the Dispatch office. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
