Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company, a unit of Avangrid, seeks an Inspector Enhance QA/QC Gas Engineering in Orange, CT. This field role focuses on audits, safety, and quality improvements, coordinating with inspectors and supervisors to ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include reporting on findings, communicating progress, and supporting corrective actions across teams to prevent future issues. A strong background in gas operations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of gas distribution & operations experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Performs random independent audits per the Enhanced QA/QC Plan of construction and maintenance related activities related to safety, quality and productivity.
• Assures that operating procedures, materials, policies and procedures are all aligned in order to prevent future gas safety and quality compliance issues.
• Interfaces with construction workforce, public and regulatory agencies as required.
• Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department.
• Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions.

The salary range for this position is based on experience level ranging from $79,600 to $99,600 plus up to 16% bonus
