Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company seeks a Supervisor – Dispatch & ECC to lead day-to-day gas operations, oversee dispatchers, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient field performance in Orange/East Hartford, CT.

You will manage on-call coverage 24/7, coordinate with contractors, monitor work orders, and uphold company policies while driving reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred or a high school diploma with 13 years of gas operations experience.
• Must be technically proficient as a gas operations dispatcher.
• Must have a solid working knowledge of gas field operations policies, procedures, protocols.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of the various systems in use within the Dispatch office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors the performance of both union and non-union staff including issues related to sickness, discipline and work quality to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Corporate regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Executes same day dispatching of emergency and non-emergency work, planned and unplanned work while ensuring productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Directs dispatchers to ensure proper staffing, minimize overtime, leak response and customer appointment metrics.
• Reviews construction workload and assigns to contractors in a timely manner.
• Supervises data entry of completed construction work orders and maintains service cards and documents.
• Processes all State permits and maintains records for them.
• Participates in safety and process improvement programs and is responsible for results.
• Provides coverage in the field 24/7/365 on-call rotation.
