Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is hiring a Support Worker for part-time daytime hours in supported accommodation. The role involves visiting residents in Chatham and Gillingham, with in-person reporting to the office in Chatham.
Responsibilities include onboarding, health and safety checks, rent collection, tenancy enforcement, dispute resolution, and signposting to housing and welfare services. You will support residents to sustain accommodation and pursue employment or training opportunities.
We currently have an opportunity for a Support Worker in supported accommodation.
The role is part-time, during daytime hours, throughout the week.
The role involves visiting residents in our properties in Chatham and Gillingham, and you report in person to the office in Chatham.
The main responsibilities for the role will be:
Working closely with the team, sharing knowledge and experience, conducting onboarding of residents, carrying out health and safety checks, rent collection, tenancy enforcement, resolving disputes and incidents of anti-social behaviour.
Knowledge of the benefits system and ability to provide advice on housing and welfare benefits.
Knowledge of the main support needs that are commonly faced by homeless people and vulnerable residents.
Supporting residents regarding financial and welfare benefits matters they face.
Supporting residents to sustain their accommodation.
Ensuring residents adhere to their Daily Licence Agreement.
Ensuring residents do not get into arrears with their service charge
Supporting residents with managing income and budgeting.
Signposting residents to specialist services when required.
Supporting residents seeking employment, volunteering and training opportunities.
Liaising with external agencies on behalf of the residents and maintaining contact.
Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive life outcomes.
The support workers will complete any other duties as could be reasonably expected in the fulfilment of this role.
