Job description

At Dimensions, your hard work does not go unnoticed. Guided by integrity and respect, we will reward you with benefits that truly make a difference in your life and your wellbeing. From financial peace of mind to moments of recognition that make you proud, we will value you every step of the way.

About the role

- Support Worker

- Part time - 30 hours per week.

- £12.81 per hour

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people, aged between their 30s and 80s, who live in their own supported living flats in Haverhill. Support is usually provided on a 1:1 basis, although there may be occasions when 2:1 support is needed when accessing the community.

As a Support Worker, you will help people maintain their independence, develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and participate in the interests that matter most to them. No two days are the same. You could be supporting someone to attend a medical appointment, enjoy a social interest, manage their home, prepare meals, stay connected with family and friends, or access opportunities in their local community. Every day is an opportunity to recognise potential, celebrate achievements and support people to live the life they choose.

You will work across all eight supported living flats, building positive relationships with the people we support and tailoring your approach to meet individual needs. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are flexible and able to work across the home to ensure people receive consistent support to attend appointments, activities and important events in their lives.

This home operates a range of shift patterns, including early and late shifts. Shifts are 7:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-9:00pm, although longer shifts such as 7:00am-9:00pm may also be required. Flexibility is important as shift patterns vary to meet the needs of the people we support. There are no sleep-in shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a diverse role where they can support a wide range of people, develop their skills and make a meaningful difference every day.

About You

There is no such thing as a typical Support Worker. What matters most is your values, attitude, and desire to help people live great lives.

You will share our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership and Respect and enjoy building positive relationships with a wide range of people.

We are looking for someone who:

- Is flexible and able to work across multiple supported living flats.

- Enjoys helping people achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

- Can communicate clearly and build trusting relationships.

- Is reliable, proactive and able to adapt to changing needs.

- Works well as part of a team.

- Has basic IT skills and is willing to learn.

- Shares our commitment to person-centred support.

Experience in support work is welcomed but not essential, as we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
