The Support System Specialist provides technical and operational support to field staff and office personnel, ensuring they have the tools, systems, and resources needed to perform their responsibilities efficiently. This role serves as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting technology-related issues, assisting users with software applications, and supporting the day-to-day use of healthcare and office systems.
Provide timely technical support to field staff regarding computer systems, software applications, mobile devices, and access issues.
Assist employees with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Vitalis systems.
Support field staff with system navigation, documentation, login/access issues, data entry, and basic application troubleshooting.
Provide guidance and training to staff on the proper use of software and technology systems.
Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, to support daily administrative and operational functions.
Assist with email, calendar, document management, spreadsheets, and other Microsoft Office-related technical issues.
Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, software, and user-access issues and elevate complex problems to the appropriate IT department or vendor when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, user requests, and system-related concerns.
Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to employees with varying levels of technical experience.
Assist with user account setup, password/access issues, system permissions, and onboarding technology needs as assigned.
Monitor recurring technical issues and identify opportunities to improve workflows, user training, and system utilization.
Collaborate with administrative, clinical, scheduling, and IT teams to resolve system and workflow issues.
Assist with software updates, system changes, testing, and implementation of new technology or applications.
Protect confidential employee and patient information by following organizational policies and applicable privacy and security requirements.
Provide dependable, customer-focused support while maintaining professionalism and patience when assisting staff under time-sensitive circumstances.
Experience providing technical, software, administrative, or user support in a healthcare, homecare, or office environment.
This position is full time, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
