Job summary

CareStar, Inc. is seeking a Support Services Supervisor in Cincinnati, OH to oversee staff and administrative services within the care coordination program.

The role emphasizes compliance, client support, and effective operations to improve health outcomes in the community. Ideal candidates will have a healthcare background, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; medical terminology knowledge.
• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare preferred or 5+ years healthcare experience.
• Experience in telephone customer service (multi-line, high call volume) and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises staff, including hiring, firing and performance evaluations.
• Schedules staff to ensure continuous program coverage.
• Makes decisions for elevated situations and resolves them accordingly.
• Completes reports in a timely manner and provides them to intended individuals.
• Analyzes CareStar reports to inform plans and decisions.
• Assesses eligibility by program criteria and refers non-eligible participants to resources.
• Explains waiver programs and Medicaid application processes to staff.
• Compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality obligations.
• Adheres to CareStar Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows Acceptable Use Policy.
