Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Supervisor to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role requires supervising non-technical staff, ensuring proper staffing, and coordinating workflow across the department. The position operates Tuesday–Saturday, 11pm–7:30am, in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, ensuring quality assurance, and implementing process improvements. A high school diploma or GED plus several years in relevant settings are required; Labcorp

• 3+ years in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of non-technical staff in the Department Name department.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Directly supervise, train and mentor non-technical personnel.
• Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate coverage.
• Ensure shifts are properly staffed.
• Research and resolve production errors and escalate as needed.
• Engage in process and service level improvements.
• Perform quality assurance checks for efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain QA records and documents.
• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports on a regular basis.
• Administer and manage policies and procedures.

Work Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the non-technical staff for the Department Name department
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

• Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
• Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse experience

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior LabCorp experience
• Associates degree
• 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
• 1 year distribution experience
• 1 years or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

Additional Job Standards

• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Pay Range: $80,168 - $100,000 per year

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.
