Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Seattle, WA team at Swedish First Hill Lab. The role schedules Friday–Monday from 9:00 pm to 7:30 am, performing routine and complex tests, maintaining instruments and quality controls, and ensuring timely, accurate patient results.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and ASCP or AMT certification. Benefits are included for full-time staff, with shift differential for 3rd shift.

  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
ASCP or AMT certification

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
  • ASCP or AMT certification

  • Pay Range: $34.25 -$52.14 per hour
Plus 3rd Shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
