Job summary

Labcorp in Seattle, WA is seeking a Support Services Supervisor to join our team. The role oversees non-technical staff in the Department Name department and requires coordinating laboratory specimen preparation and workflow coverage.

The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7:30am, with a focus on coaching, policy administration and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, detail orientation and Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse.
• Ability to supervise, train and mentor non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the non-technical staff for the Department Name department.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department.
• Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage.
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed.
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development.
• Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse experience

Preferred Qualification:

• Current or prior LabCorp experience
• Associates degree
• 1 year supervisory or leadership experience
• 1 year distribution experience
• 1 years or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

Additional Job Standards

• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

**Pay Range: $80,168 - $100,000 per year All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
