Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. Flexible routes and schedules are needed to meet business demands while upholding safety and service standards.

The position offers a starting wage of $21.00–$26.25 per hour based on experience, with overtime pay after 40 hours and potential weekend OT as needed. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
