Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open or unassigned routes, supporting daily delivery operations. The role demands flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Starting pay is $21.00–$26.25 per hour, with overtime and weekend opportunities. Candidate must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license, and be able to lift heavy packages as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
