Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to cover open or unassigned routes and support daily delivery operations with flexibility, while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.

This role requires driving a manual transmission vehicle, delivering and picking up freight, inspecting the vehicle, loading efficiently, and may involve travel. Starting wage is $20.00-$24.00 per hour, with overtime and weekend opportunities.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record meeting company standards.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck efficiently to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
