Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

The position offers a starting wage of $21.00–$26.25 per hour, with paid overtime after 40 hours and potential weekend OT as needed. It is a full-time role with benefits and room for growth based on performance and tenure.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record meeting company standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
