Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on unassigned routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules, while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Hours include Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM start, with overtime opportunities. Starting wage ranges from $21.00 to $26.25 per hour based on experience, with potential additional compensation through overtime and performance-based increases.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record meeting company standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck to use space efficiently and prevent package damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify contents of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
