Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Minnesota is seeking a flexible Support Route Driver to backfill on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires adapting to varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and on-time delivery standards.

The position is Monday–Friday, starting at 7:30 AM with overtime potential. Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.25 per hour based on experience, with typical company policies guiding increases over time.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any vehicle mechanical problems.
• Load the truck efficiently to maximize space and protect packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
