Job summary

Tinker Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Member Support Specialist I in Oklahoma City. You will be the first point of contact for members, handling 80-100+ calls daily, assisting with a range of financial needs and guiding them through digital banking tools.

The role requires empathy and a customer-first attitude. After training (up to 6 months), there is potential to work fully remote if performance targets are met, with in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Credit union or banking call center experience preferred.
• Complete communications and regulations training.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of federal/state financial regulations.
• Ability to use a TDD (telephone device for the hearing-impaired).

Tinker Federal Credit Union’s Member Service Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Member Support Specialist I ! As a Member Support Specialist I, you'll be the first point of contact for our members - handling 80-100+ calls per day to assist with a wide range of financial needs. This is a high-volume, high-energy role that requires empathy, focus, and a passion for helping people.

• Guide members through digital banking tools and promote self-service options

Department hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Monday-Friday) and 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Saturday). You'll work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch and a 15-minute break. Potential weekday shifts include: You'll also be required to work a 4-hour shift every other Saturday from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Final rate based on experience and internal equity. This is a non-exempt (hourly) position.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Credit union or banking call center experience preferred.

Remote Work Opportunities:

• After completing training, which may take up to 6 months depending on your experience and learning style, you'll have the opportunity to work fully remote, as long as performance metrics are met.
• You must reside in Oklahoma to be eligible for remote work and to attend occasional in-person departmental meetings.
• All necessary computer equipment will be provided to support your remote work setup.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Complete communications and regulations training.

• Critical thinking and the ability to resolve account issues independently
• Comfort with digital tools, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment
