Job summary

Five Below in New Jersey is hiring for an hourly Store Manager on Duty role. You will oversee daily store operations, supervise associates, and ensure a wow customer experience through effective leadership and service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, securing cash, training staff, and driving sales while controlling expenses. The position requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register regularly.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and handle stock up to 5–10 ft.
• Climb ladders to retrieve or shelve stock.
• Assist customers and coworkers with store operations.
• Open/close the store, secure cash, set alarms.
• Train and onboard associates.
• Drive sales and manage expenses through merchandising and service.
• Coordinate with leadership on merchandising and recovery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in stock room and sales floor.
