Job summary

The Mortgage Office is hiring a Support Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA. You will bridge the customer support team with Engineering and Product, owning complex escalations and delivering hands‑on guidance for API, SQL, and SmartView issues.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical support or QA for B2B SaaS/fintech, strong debugging skills, and experience with APIs, SQL, and bug tracking tools. Hybrid work available with onsite amenities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in technical support, support engineering, or software QA in B2B SaaS/Fintech.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and log analysis skills.
• Experience with APIs, SQL databases, and software integrations.
• Proficient with bug tracking and support platforms (Azure DevOps, HubSpot CRM).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated API, SQL, and SmartView issues end‑to‑end.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps.
• Develop SQL and API-based custom solutions for complex problems.
• Guide Tier 1 specialists and share knowledge across teams.
• Test escalated issues, validate fixes, and document workarounds.
• Deliver triaged defect reports to accelerate resolution.
• Communicate progress with customers by phone, email, or chat.
