Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale apps with complex integrations.
• Strong programming experience with Java and/or Python.
• Experience developing and consuming web services and APIs.
• 4+ years with data technologies and databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, NiFi, Kafka, Elasticsearch).
• Experience writing and executing SQL scripts with large datasets.
• 3+ years of CI/CD and build automation (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins).

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support a Mortgage Capital Markets (MCM) platform. This is a hands-on development and technical support role focused on integrating upstream and downstream systems. The ideal candidate will have strong back-end development and production support experience, with the ability to work independently and contribute immediately. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in Mortgage Capital Markets and commercial real estate finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale applications and complex system integrations.
• Build and enhance back-end systems, APIs, web services, and user interfaces.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and perform incident analysis.
• Assist with application deployments and release activities.
• Work with databases, large datasets, messaging platforms, and monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain automated testing and monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with the IT Senior Manager, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support integrations between upstream and downstream systems.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale applications with complex integrations.
• Strong programming experience with Java and/or Python.
• Experience developing and consuming web services and APIs.
• 4+ years of experience with data technologies and databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience writing, reading, and executing SQL scripts and working with large datasets.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of experience with test automation, SRE monitoring, or synthetic monitoring.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience within Mortgage Capital Markets.
• Experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools such as CRON, Tidal, or Airflow.
• Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
