Job summary

ScanSource is seeking a Supply Chain Purchasing Specialist - Comms to process drop shipment PO's and support sales teams from its Greenville, SC location. You will maintain ETAs in SAP, manage open orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate invoicing and on-time shipments.

The role requires strong organizational skills, MS Office proficiency, and experience in purchasing within a technology or distribution environment. Travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years relevant tech/distribution experience preferred.
• SAP experience a plus; foreign language skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process assigned supplier hardware, software, and subscription purchases, orders and returns.
• Update ETA in SAP on all open purchase orders.
• Manage Open Orders to ensure timely shipment and invoicing.
• Clean parked/blocked invoices and monitor sales pipeline with Supplier Business Manager.
• Maintain relationships with supplier partners and ScanSource sales teams.

Description

Summary:

The Supply Chain Purchasing Specialist is responsible for processing drop shipment Purchase Orders to meet SLA and accuracy guidelines, maintain updated ETAs on all open orders in SAP, and provide sales support as needed.

• Process assigned supplier(s) hardware, software and subscription/license purchases, orders and returns
• Update Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA’s) in SAP on all outstanding purchase orders
• Manage Open Orders to ensure timely shipment and invoicing
• Clean parked/blocked invoices
• Monitor sales pipeline, working directly with the Supplier Business Manager
• Maintain relationship with supplier partner(s)
• Maintain an accessible and responsive relationship with ScanSource sales teams
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Reporting Relationships:

• Direct supervision given from Manager, Supply Chain - Purchasing
• No Direct Reports
• Daily contact with supplier representatives, sales reps and ScanSource management
• Will occasionally make presentations to both supplier and ScanSource Senior Management

Credentials:

Required:

• High School/GED
• Organizational Skills
• Computer Skills (MS Office)

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2 or more years of relevant experience (technology or distribution)
• SAP Experience
• Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time
• Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position
• Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time
• Ability to lift 10 pounds

Compensation:

Compensation: $45,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
