Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure timely material flow to support production schedules at our Plano, TX site. This contract role emphasizes PO management, supplier coordination, and accurate ERP/MRP updates, with close cross-functional collaboration.

You will monitor orders, communicate delivery changes, and help resolve material issues while maintaining critical records and supporting continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, purchase order management, and material planning.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, specifically Deltek Costpoint.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through on tasks.
• Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory, production, and material-flow processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on status and delivery commitments.
• Obtain and communicate updated supplier delivery dates and shipment information.
• Maintain accurate material and PO status within ERP/MRP systems.
• Identify overdue or potentially late materials and escalate accordingly.
• Research material shortages, receiving discrepancies, and documentation issues.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Receiving, Production, and Quality to resolve material issues.
• Support identification and escalation of shortages affecting production schedules.
• Maintain records and reports related to material status.
• Perform other purchasing, inventory, expediting, and material-control duties.
