Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Material Expeditor for a Columbus, OH contract-to-hire role, onsite. You will expedite POs, monitor deliveries, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain ERP/MRP data to minimize disruptions.

The position requires a 2+ year background in supply chain, a degree in a related field, proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, and strong organizational/communication skills. Mon-Fri schedule with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
2+ years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, planning, or materials.
Experience tracking purchase orders and coordinating shipments.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor and similar).
Excel and basic data analysis skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Expedite purchase orders from placement through delivery.
Monitor supplier performance and obtain accurate delivery commitments.
Identify delivery risks and coordinate recovery actions to prevent delays.
Work with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Resolve issues related to shortages, partial shipments, documentation, customs, or quality holds.
Maintain accurate order status in ERP/MRP systems and provide delivery performance reporting.
Support inventory management and material availability for production, operations, and projects.
Assist with process improvements related to supplier performance and supply chain efficiency.
