Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner for an on-site contract role in Torrance, CA. You will act as the tactical liaison for local plant supply chain needs, analyzing material requirements and inventory to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.

You will issue POs, follow up with suppliers, and manage material flow end-to-end. Qualifications include an Associate degree and 2+ years in related roles; Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
• Experience as Material Planner/Production Planner/Buyer/Program Manager/Operations Lead preferred.
• Ability to manage demand and supply planning within MRP.
• Proficient in MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the tactical point of contact for local plant supply chain needs.
• Analyze material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit.
• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased materials at or below planned costs.
• Issue purchase orders with correct pricing and minimum order quantities.
• Maintain supplier communications and schedule material pickups/deliveries.
• Process return material authorizations and ensure supplier readiness.
• Provide BOMs and necessary information to suppliers.
• Lead regular open order review meetings with suppliers.
• Build cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide status updates on critical supply issues.
