Job summary

HMH in Houston, TX is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Intern who is currently pursuing a Finance or Accounting degree. You will participate in audits, support fixed asset auditing, and document processes across engineering and manufacturing contexts to improve efficiency and controls.

This 12‑week internship runs May 24 to August 13, 2027. You'll observe workplace culture, develop professional communication skills with Executive Leadership, and gain hands-on experience across functions while

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Finance/Accounting degree.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Supply Chain audits.
  • Assist with the fixed asset audit.
  • Document processes and perform audits in Engineering/Manufacturing contexts.
  • Support supply chain process improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Supply Chain Finance Intern will be responsible for:
  • Leading Supply Chain Audits
  • Assist with the fixed asset audit
  • Document process & perform audit: Engineering/Manufacturing labor vouchering
  • Supply Chain process improvement project-Crown Jewel Cost out opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
The Intern will also learn about the following:
  • Observe HMH's workplace culture by interacting with different functions
  • Enhance knowledge/skills & apply in actual business scenarios
  • Develop professional communication skills with Executive Leadership
  • Experience performance evaluations/feedback in a professional setting
Skills/Requirements
  • Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Finance/Accounting majors preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results
  • Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Other duties as assigned
Additional Information
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
