Summary
Clinical Supervisor position at Phoenix House, East Hampton (Wainscott). Provide direct clinical services, discharge planning oversight, and routine supervision of clinical staff in a nonprofit substance use disorder treatment setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical services (crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, family therapy, referrals, and discharge planning).
- Assist clinical staff in developing comprehensive treatment/recovery plans covering mental health, substance abuse, education, and vocational rehabilitation.
- Review and approve all aspects of discharge planning.
- Ensure clinical operations meet regulations, Medicaid and reimbursement standards.
- Designate staff to perform regulatory tasks such as patient evaluation and treatment plan implementation.
- Conduct regular interdisciplinary case conferences.
- Lead workshops, individual or group therapy sessions in collaboration with other clinical staff.
- Facilitate open, skill-focused supervision and staff development; document as required.
- Oversee and coordinate patient case management with state/local social services, legal referral sources, school stakeholders, and community providers.
- Review clinical documentation of staff; participate or lead clinical case review processes.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling.
- Independent NYS license (LMSW/LMHC).
- Minimum five years of experience in substance use disorder treatment.
- Minimum two years in a supervisory role.
- Experience and knowledge of OASAS 820 Model and regulations.
