Job summary

Phoenix House of New York is seeking a Licensed Clinician to lead clinical quality, coach staff, and influence client outcomes in a high-impact leadership role. You will shape treatment journeys, supervise teams, and coordinate across a multidisciplinary care environment to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care at every stage of recovery.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
• Independent license issued by NYS.
• Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing, preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment.
• Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with OASAS regulations and related bodies.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in developing treatment plans addressing mental health, substance use, education and vocational rehab.
• Conduct interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Lead workshops and individual or group therapy sessions as needed.
• Coordinate patient case management with social services, legal resources, schools and community providers.
• Review clinical documentation and support recovery programming across treatment phases.
• Facilitate progression of patients through the treatment process and prepare for discharge.

Responsibilities

• Assists clinical staff in the development of treatment plans, ensuring that such plans address all facets of a patient's treatment -- mental health, substance abuse, education and vocational rehabilitation.


• Conducts regular interdisciplinary case conferences.


• Conducts workshops and individual or group therapy sessions, as needed, in conjunction with other clinical staff.


• Works with counselors in all areas of their job functions and facilitates open, consistent, skill-focused clinical supervision and staff development, documenting as needed.


• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating overall patient case management with applicable state and local social services agencies, legal referral sources and resources, school-based stakeholders, and community-based providers of services, as needed.


• Reviews clinical documentation of staff; participates in or leads the clinical case review process; supports, monitors, and implements clinical and recovery support programming for all phases of treatment


• Works with staff and patients to facilitate effective progression of patients through the treatment process.


• Works with counselors to ensure that patients receive appropriate information/referrals throughout the re-entry phase of the program and in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Required Experience

• Minimum five years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment
