Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Philadelphia area seeks a capable Assistant Supervisor to lead and develop frontline teammates, ensure safety and cleanliness, and uphold guest service standards across busy operations. You will train supervisors and staff, coordinate with park leadership, and drive compliance with policies and procedures.

The role requires strong communication, flexibility for shifts, and a commitment to safety, with opportunities to advance within park operations.

Qualifications

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old
  • At least 1 year proven leadership experience and understanding of labor/expense management
  • CPR/AED training/certification required
  • Willing to train/certify across Operations areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable speaking to large groups
  • Able to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Physical ability: stand long, lift 25 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs, heights up to 60 ft and near water
  • Assist in ride testing by riding all park rides
  • Availability for varying shifts including days, evenings, nights
  • 2+ years leadership preferred
  • 3+ years guest service preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Driver's license with company license preferred
  • Comfortable working at heights 150 feet preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe environment for team, guests, and animals
  • Develop Assistant Supervisors, OJTs, and team members with training, feedback, coaching
  • Maintain park cleanliness, conduct quality inspections, follow up on improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with labor schedules to optimize resources
  • Maintain resources to complete work assignments
  • Ensure areas meet financial plans (revenue/expenses)
  • Support Director and Managers on projects to improve operations
  • Resolve conflicts with win-win solutions within guidelines
  • Ensure policy adherence and exceptional guest service
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required

Job description

What you get to do:
  • Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals
  • Responsible for the development of Assistant Supervisors, OJTs, and team members by providing training, feedback and coaching
  • Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance to all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures
  • Assist in the creation and adjustment of labor line schedules to maximize our resources
  • Maintain resources as needed to complete work assignments
  • Ensure assigned work areas are within projected financial plans, this includes both revenue and expenses as assigned
  • Assist the Director and Managers in various projects to improve park operation
  • Handle conflicts between guests and/or team members seeking a win-win solution within company guidelines and strategic objectives
  • Know and ensure team members follow all policies and procedures outlined in the team member handbook
  • Ensure all team members provide exceptional guest service
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required
What it takes to succeed:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old
  • At least 1 year proven leadership experience and a good understanding of labor and expense management
  • Able to successfully complete provided CPR/AED training/certification
  • Capable and willing to become trained and certified at all areas within the Operations departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced working environment
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to stand for long periods of time; able to lift 25 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds; comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet, around water and able to walk in sand
  • Able to assist in ride testing by riding all park rides
  • Available to work varying shifts or hours, which may include days, evenings and nights
  • 2 or more years leadership experience preferred
  • 3 years guest service experience preferred
  • Possession or pursuit of a bachelor's degree preferred
  • A valid state driver's license with the ability obtain a company driver's license preferred
  • Comfortable working at heights 150 feet preferred
