A Supervisor’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Supervisors lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate dining facility staff, assigning tasks and providing guidance for smooth operations and service quality.
• Train and instruct staff on customer service, complaint resolution, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Manage daily operations, including scheduling, inventory, and waste reduction to optimize efficiency and control costs.
• Conduct training for new and current employees on safety, service protocols, and job‑specific tasks.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and university policies for a safe dining environment.
