Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple active projects. You will direct crews, coordinate subcontractors, review plans, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

Ideally, you bring 5+ years in site development or heavy civil construction and 3+ years in a supervisory role, with strong communication and planning skills. A valid driver's license and OSHA 30 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction.
• Minimum 3 years in supervision as Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and construction documents; knowledge of earthworks, utilities, stormwater, and paving.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate field personnel.
• Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and project management software.
• Valid driver's license.
• OSHA 30 certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations on multiple active projects and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ensure work aligns with plans, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Monitor safety compliance and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Maintain daily communication with Project Managers on progress and issues.
• Lead and develop foremen and field crews to improve productivity and accountability.
• Manage inspections, testing, and documentation required by authorities or clients.
• Identify risks or delays and apply corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, timesheets, and material logs.
