Job summary

Tiello is seeking a Traveling Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial roofing projects in the Southeast and Midwest. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of commercial and industrial roofing experience.
• Proven track record as a field leader (Superintendent, General Foreman or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for roofing projects from mobilization to completion.
• Lead and coordinate crews of 10–20 employees, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Manage project schedules, manpower, material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
• Ensure installations meet project specs, manufacturer requirements, quality standards, and building codes.
• Enforce OSHA requirements and safety policies with regular site inspections and safety meetings.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and milestones to keep work on schedule.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, vendors, and customers to resolve field issues.
• Review plans and identify challenges, implementing solutions to minimize delays.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and communicate updates to leadership.
• Travel to project locations in the Southeast and Midwest with overnight stays as required.

Position Overview

Tiello is partnering with an established commercial roofing contractor to identify an experienced Traveling Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial roofing projects throughout the Southeast and Midwest.

This role is ideal for a seasoned roofing professional with at least 10 years of commercial and industrial roofing experience who can lead field operations, manage crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects typically range from $500K to $5MM, with crews of approximately 10–20 employees. The Superintendent will primarily oversee one project at a time, with occasional responsibility for multiple smaller projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for commercial and industrial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
• Lead and coordinate crews of 10–20 employees, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Manage project schedules, manpower, material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
• Ensure roofing installations meet project specifications, manufacturer requirements, quality standards, and building codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of commercial and industrial roofing experience.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Superintendent, General Foreman, or equivalent field leader.
• Demonstrated ability to manage crews of 10–20 employees and coordinate subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, safety practices, and quality control.
• Experience managing projects valued between $500K and $5MM.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and Midwest and stay overnight as project requirements dictate.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Competitive base salary of $110,000–$125,000, depending on experience.
