Tiello LLC is partnering with an established commercial roofing contractor to hire an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee multiple crews and active job sites across the Knoxville market.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial roofing experience and a proven ability to manage field operations, coordinate schedules, ensure safety, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This role offers a hands‑on leadership position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
• Experience leading multiple roofing crews and job sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules, sequencing plans, staffing requirements, and equipment needs with Project Managers.
• Oversee commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
• Lead and coordinate multiple roofing crews across multiple job sites.
• Ensure roofing systems are installed according to drawings, specs, manufacturer requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily manpower, materials, tools, equipment, deliveries, and subcontractors.
• Monitor crew productivity, labor hours, milestones, and daily jobsite performance.
• Assist with progress reporting and cost tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Communicate schedule changes, project updates, and field issues to Project Managers, supervisors, and crews.
• Identify potential delays and safety concerns before they affect performance.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements on all sites.
• Conduct jobsite inspections and verify work meets standards and customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, photographs, time records, and project documentation.
• Build professional relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and manufacturers.
• Promote a professional and safe work environment reflecting company values.

This position requires a hands‑on field leader who can work independently, make timely decisions, and maintain accountability across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers to develop project schedules, sequencing plans, staffing requirements, and equipment needs.
• Oversee commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
• Lead and coordinate multiple roofing crews working across multiple job sites.
• Ensure roofing systems are installed according to project drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and quality standards.

• Build professional relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors, manufacturers, and other trades.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing experience required
• Previous experience as a Commercial Roofing Superintendent, General Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field‑leadership position required
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple commercial roofing crews across multiple active job sites
• Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, materials, and jobsite operations
• Experience with low-slope roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, and related sheet‑metal details
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, roofing plans, blueprints, specifications, scopes of work, and manufacturer details
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast‑paced field environment
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including overtime when necessary
