Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Breakfast / Prep Cook for Brandywine Creek Conference Center in Covert, MI. The role is full-time, hourly, with shifts Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

The successful candidate will prepare high-quality, properly seasoned and nutritious food for the operation, working cohesively with the dining services team. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years cooking experience; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with ServSafe

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.
• Prepare food items according to established menus in a manner that preserves freshness and quality.
• Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Store food items according to established standards; label and date items.
• Maintain established logs (temperatures, cooling, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
• Open/close the kitchen as needed, secure areas and operate equipment.
• Ensure a safe, tidy, organized work environment and report discrepancies to supervisor.
