Job summary

Brandywine Creek Conference Center is seeking a Breakfast/Prep Cook for our main kitchen in Covert, MI. This full-time, hourly role focuses on timely, high-quality breakfast preparation and prep work for service.

The position requires at least 2 years of cooking experience, with preference for a High School diploma and ServSafe certification. You will work closely with the dining services team to ensure safe, properly seasoned, and nutritious meals for our guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Time food production so all food is ready at service time.
• Prepare items per established menus to preserve freshness and appeal.
• Use safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Store food items with proper labeling and dating.
• Maintain logs for temperatures and safety checks.
• Keep a clean and sanitized work area.
• Open/close the kitchen as needed and secure equipment.
• Maintain a safe, tidy work environment at all times.
• Communicate needs to supervisor promptly.
• Monitor equipment and report discrepancies.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage as needed.
